DOMA and Prop 8 are Dead!

Two posts in one day here?

I just wanted to get the word out that DOMA (The Defense of Marriage Act) and California's Prop 8 are dead.

The Religious right is freaking out and I am not ashamed to admit that I am enjoying the show.
But most important this is a victory for everyone.  It upholds the rights of people over religious bigotry.

Now Illinois just needs to get their own act together.

Google Reader

Well it's going to happen.

Google Reader will be shut down in just a couple of days.  I was hoping for some sort of reprieve or stay of execution, but no such luck.

I have moved on, rather reluctantly, to Feedly.  It has some very nice features but it's not the same.

Hopefully in this case change will be good.

Cult of Dusty

So I just discovered The Cult of Dusty.

I rather like his one on GMO foods ("I Love Monsanto").

Going to spend some time with these today I think!

Getting Hitched Again

Sorry for the length of time between posts here.

I have been looking for something new to help heat up my creativity.
So I picked up Arguably by Christopher Hitchens.

So far I like it.  I don't always agree with everything Hitch says, but he never fails to get me to think.

Hopefully it will spill over to here some more.
